The EX Series has been designed to give every Lowther enthusiast and audiophile a superior sound experience, no matter which Lowther cabinet option they’re using.
Whether you’re a Lowther maker, a Lowther for Life member, or an audiophile looking to try something new, the EX Series offers the best full-range drive units you’ll find on the market.
Each model in the EX Series contains an acoustic chamber, precisely tuned to maximise its performance abilities.
Precision really is the focus of the entire EX Series. The drive units’ cone assemblies have a fine pressure balance with the acoustic chamber at the rear of the unit, and a phase equalizer at the front.
This means that only bass frequencies pass through the acoustic chamber, avoiding any bass and mid-range frequency confusion. The result? The purest sound possible. No shout, no fluctuations, just crystal clear audio.
Both the DX Series and the EX Series have the inner speaker cone isolated from the outer, and we’ve also added a reverse roll to the rim of their inner cones. So, rather than the two cones working in unison at certain frequencies, you can now enjoy one smooth sound.
Far more detail is captured and reproduced, so that live listening experience doesn’t feel quite so far away. With complete diaphragm control, our speaker drivers offer the latest in listening experience.

Speakers
All our speakers are handmade in Great Britain and fully tested prior to being shipped. Lead times will vary depending on the cabinet ordered, however this will be fully explained by a Lowther representative when placing your order with us.
Drive Units
We typically ship within 5 days of placing your order of drive units; however, some orders may take up to 10 days to process. Please note that we do not ship on Saturdays or Sundays.
All orders will arrive within 5 - 10 business days. We offer shipping worldwide. However, we don’t ship to countries that are not operated by DHL or Parcel Force. All orders are shipped and tracked via DHL or Parcel Force.
Loudspeaker Kits
All our loud speaker kits are cut to order in Great Britain. Lead times will vary depending on the order, however this will be fully explained by a Lowther representative when placing your order with us.
