Neodymium costs are rising

Rare earth supply has become more unpredictable over the last year. A lot of it comes down to export controls, licencing, and paperwork that sits upstream of the magnet makers. Even when demand is steady, that kind of friction can tighten supply and push costs up.

On the pricing side, neodymium has moved sharply. Trading Economics shows neodymium up strongly over the past month and materially higher year-on-year as of February 26, 2026. Reuters also reported NdPr prices recently around $123/kg, above the $110/kg price floor set in a US-backed deal with MP Materials.

What this means for DX

DX uses neodymium magnets. When magnet input costs rise, it eventually shows up in component pricing and finished drive units. We cannot control global commodity prices, but we can control one thing in the short term.

We have DX stock available right now.

Once this batch is gone, the next restock is likely to land at a higher cost if pricing and supply constraints continue in the same direction.

This is not panic buying. It is simply a practical window if you were already close to making the decision.
