Engineered with the flexibility to perform anywhere in a room, even behind furniture.
The Acousta Quarter Wave proves that high fidelity need not command attention to be exceptional. Its ingenious rear-horn design produces clean, articulate bass with signature Lowther clarity, even when positioned behind furniture or discreetly in a corner. Handmade in Great Britain and finished in bespoke veneers carefully matched to each living space, it is as beautiful as fine furniture yet unassuming in its presence.
At its heart lies the PM7A Philharmonic, renowned for warmth, speed and natural detail. Together, cabinet and instrument create a performance that rivals, and often surpasses, systems many times its size. Every pair carries a 10-year warranty and the assurance of a lifetime of listening pleasure.

Every Quarter Wave is handmade to order in our Northampton workshop. Each piece is built with care from start to finish by British craftsmen.

We use high-grade Baltic birch plywood for strength and tonal purity. Every panel is cut, shaped and joined by hand for perfect alignment.

You can choose from a range of real wood and specialist veneers. Each pair is book-matched to create a natural flow of grain that suits your space.

The drive units, including the PM7A Philharmonic, are assembled in our Norfolk atelier. Every part is crafted to the same standard as the world's finest instruments.

Each cone is hand-treated, air-dried and cured in natural sunlight. This gives every Lowther its unmistakably natural tone.

From wood to wire, every element is made to last for generations. A Lowther is not a product but an instrument that grows more beautiful with time.

Every cut, every joint, every finish is completed by hand. Our craftsmen bring decades of experience to each speaker, ensuring uncompromising quality.

Tall, elegant, and understated, the Acousta Quarter Wave blends seamlessly into your environment while delivering the immersive, lifelike sound for which Lowther is renowned. Whether placed proudly in view or tucked subtly into the room's design, it fills the space with warmth, speed and precision ā a true marriage of sound and craftsmanship.

The Quarter Wave is designed around the PM7A Philharmonic driver, renowned for its warmth, speed, and natural detail. This driver delivers exceptional clarity across the frequency range, making every note feel immediate and alive.

Utilizing a rear-loaded quarter-wave Voigt horn design, the Quarter Wave produces clean, articulate bass with signature Lowther clarity. The horn loading allows placement flexibility, even behind furniture, without compromising sound quality.

Engineered to perform anywhere in the room, the Quarter Wave adapts to your space without dominating it. Its compact footprint and flexible placement make it the most versatile horn speaker we offer, perfect for modern living spaces.
